Exciting stuff. Just a word of caution: for every cheesy effects scene in Lynch's Dune, there are 5 amazing shots that fans love and (in my opinion) that have a weight and 'realness' to them that still haven't been equaled in today's digital effects world. For example, the exterior desert scenes, the long shot of the Navigators landing on Kaitain, etc. It would be awesome to see a version of Dune with enhanced effects like the SE, but that remains firmly authentic to Lynch's moody vision. An example of some things that I think veer from that is the splashy space-folding in the SE, or maybe going too over-the-top on increasing the size of the fleet.
Fantastic! I can't wait to see in it's entirety!
