DUNE - BluRay

For those of you who are interested, the original theatrical version of Dune (including the horrible extended edition and a bunch of extras previously available on the last DVD release and the failed HD-DVD format) is coming to Blu-Ray on the 27th April 2010.
In fact I think it will just be a "port" of the HD-DVD version (The quality of which was apparently really good) with no new features... but who knows.
You can find it on Amazon here.

  2. The only "new" thing I see listed in the specs is "D-Box" support and they've changed to DTS-HD sound and apparently dropped the picture gallery.

  5. Hi Andrew,

Yep, that's the same list of features as on the previous HD-DVD and DVD releases.
(I have the HD-DVD version but nothing to play it with)
The only new features are the DTS-HD soundtrack and D-Box support (Which apparently is something you connect to a special chair that makes it vibrate/shudder in time with the events of the movie)
