"We're wasting time Sire"

This shot is a bit harder to do as the camera pans from right to left with a subtle change in elevation as well, so I am trying to match move this by hand as best I can. It has also been a rotoscoping nightmare but I am almost done! Then all that remains to do is render out the far background and the thopter in separate layers and composite it all together! Then I think I am almost ready to release about 80% of the 1st half of the sequence, just in time for Christmas.

  1. The shield wall looks really good. The 'thopter looks good as well, but I'm sure it'll fit much better once it's "aged" and made less shiny a bit, since the newness really contrasts badly with the grit of everything else.

Only real problem I see is, once again, the people. They just look too clear-cut over the new background. I'm not sure how it'll look in motion, but as it stands now I think a slight blur around them would work they don't look so cookie-cutter.

  2. Yes, I agree... though if you like you can check out the shot in movement over on youTube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oo5QIwNU3U... and let Me know what you think.

And I just noticed I forgot to add in the little step ladder on the thopter that they walk up!
